Veterinary Clinical Complex

The Department of Veterinary Clinical Complex (VCC) is one of the academic departments of LCVSc. Earlier this department was known as Teaching Veterinary Clinical Complex. The department imparts academic supports as per MSVE 2016, Clinical supports to public and also involved in various extension activities. Currently, Dr. Manav Sharma, Assistant Professor of Department of Surgery & Radiology is acting as I/C HOD of this department. Faculties from all clinical (Medicine, ARGO, VSR) & para-clinical (VPP, VPA, VMC, VPB) departments provide both academic and clinical support to VCC.

At Present following facilities are available under this department:

1. Out Patient Department (OPD) facilities for Veterinary Medicine, Gynaecology & Surgery.

2. Small animal radiography.

3. Small and Large animal abdominal ultrasonography.

4. Large animal reproductive ultrasonography.

5. Small animal Electrocardiography.6. Small animal nebulization.

7. Small animal & Large animal soft & hard tissue surgery.

8. Small animal & Large ruminant Artificial Insemination (AI).

9. All species Parasitological examinations of both stool & blood.

10. Routine haematological examinations of all species.

11. Routine urine analysis of all species.

12. Routine skin scrapping examination facilities.

13. Necropsy (post mortem examination) of all species.

14. Ambulatory clinical (Academic) visit to Gogamukh & Nowboicha State Veterinary Dispensary.


The department is also serving as a referral hospital for different State Veterinary Dispensaries of upper Assam as well as some parts of Arunachal Pradesh.
