Veterinary Surgery & Radiology
The Department of Veterinary Surgery & Radiology is one of the academic departments of LCVSc established in the year 1987 & still providing academic support as per MSVE 2008 & 2016. Currently the department is running with four faculty members in the rank of Assistant Professor. Currently Dr. Manav Sharma, Assistant Professor of this department is acting as I/C HOD. The department has one small animal and one large animal operation theatre, one sterilization room, one under graduate practical class room, one staff room and 5 faculty rooms. The department has one 120 mA mobile X-ray machine and one portable ultrasound machine (presently installed at VCC, LCVSc) along with other surgical accessories/instruments. Apart from regular academic involvements as per MSVE, all faculty members of this department are also proving clinical supports to Dept. of Veterinary Clinical Complex, LCVSc regularly, involved in ambulatory clinical activities and various extension activities like vaccination camps, animal treatment camps, flood relief programmes etc.
