INTERNAL QUALITY ASSURANCE CELL

Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) was established at Assam Agricultural University (AAU), Jorhat on 15th October, 2022 as per the NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) mandate to channelize the effort and measures of AAU towards excellence in academic, research, administrative and other fronts. AAU-IQAC is meant for planning, guiding and monitoring of Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Enhancement (QE) activities of the University Community.

The terms of reference of IQAC

Quality upgradation, eminence and sustainability in education research and extension
Efficient and progressive performance in academic administration and financial fields
Equitable access to and affordability of academic programs
Optimization and integration of modern methods of teaching and learning
Research sharing and networking with other institutions
The credibility of assessment and evaluation process
Ensuring the adequacy, maintenance and proper allocation of support structure and services

Objectives

Development of a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic action to improve the academic and administrative performance of the institution
To promote measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement through internalization of quality culture and institutionalization of best practices

Meeting on hybrid mode in V.C.Conference Hall for the formulation of guidelines for preparation of formats for Best Faculty award, Best Research Station award, Best KVK award and Best Department award across the AAU Campuses.

Attended 247th meeting of Academic Council. The Council accepted the proposal for introducing a ranking system in AAU. Accordingly IQAC, AAU was entrusted to prepare the formats.
