Achievements
  • During the Year from 2013-15 has developed Seven (7) numbers of technology which are most suitable for the farmers of NE Region as scientist (Animal Science) on All India Co-Ordinated Research Project on UAE .Development of Bullock operated 3 – cylinder pump,Development of AAU Puddler,An improved AAU multipurpose tool frame with matching attachment for use by small bullocks and swamp buffaloes of Assam,An improved AAU Yoke for use by small bullocks of Assam , a harnessing system for single buffaloes of Assam,Mouldboard Plough (MB Plough) for small bullocks of Assam,AAU refined three tyne cultivator,Eight row animal drawn paddy drum seeder,Four row bullock drawn mustard seed drill,Agro-processing machinery – Modified Dheki, Spice grinder flour mill and wooden Lathe machine with animal (bullock) operated rotary transmission system were developed at AAU centre and tested in the field for established the perfect operation.
  • Attended International Course at HEBREW UNIVERSITY, ISRAEL entitled '7th international post graduate course on poultry management and nutritional, physiological and veterinary aspects; dated: Nov 6– Dec 1,2006
  • Outstanding participants in ICAR sponsored Winter School on ″Achieving Food Security and Nutritional Improvement in Agraian Society″- organized by Dept.of Food & Nutrition, Faculty of Home Science, AAU, Jorhat-13, Nov 6-26,2008.

  • In addition to normal duty (Teaching, Research and Extension) also put sincere service as Farm Manager from 27.08.96 of Instructional Livestock and Poultry Farm, Deptt. of Animal Husbandry & Dairying and contributed in makin g the farm economically viable with year round supply of hygienic milk, meat and egg supply to the consumers.
  • Established a Piggery unit of crossbred Hampshire for the supply of better germplasm to the poor farmers and already several batches of piglets has been distributed among the farmers of Jorhat district as well as NE region and also to various Krishi Vigyan Kendra’s under Assam Agricultural University.
  • Recently established Goat breeding farm with improved germplasm (Jamunapari, Sirohi, Beetal cross & Sikkim local) with an aim to provide better seeds to the needy farming community of Assam.
  • Introduced New Zealand white and Soviet chinchilla Rabbit for demonstration to the students as well as farmers and to provide our unemployed youth a better livelihood opportunity through Rabbit farming.
  • Established an integrated farming (Thailand model, vermicompost, bee keeping etc.) model for practical demonstration to the farmers and students about how best they can utilize their small piece of land with various commodities (Combination of Livestock, Horticulture, fishery) as an insurance against Natural Disasters.
  • Planted various indigenous fruit plants in an around the AAU livestock farm premises for conservation of about to extinct pride fruit plants of Assam.
